【科研】中山大学教师发展中心关于举办“中山大学教师发展与提升系列--学术论文写作与发表技巧”讲座预报名的通知

各科室:

中山大学教师发展中心将于11月举办“中山大学教师发展与提升系列--学术论文写作与发表技巧”(Academic Writing for Publications, 简称AWfP)讲座。现将具体事宜通知如下:

一、参加人员

1.有在英语学术报纸或国际期刊上发表学术论文需求的教师;

2. 已完成学术实验并准备论文写作或已完成论文写作的教师;

欢迎有兴趣的教师报名参加。

二、讲座要求

1.每班面授时间为3天,每天6小时,全程英文授课,并辅以在线课程和活动。(具体内容和日程见附件1

2.报名参加的教师须全程参与课程学习,学习考核合格后由英国文化教育协会颁发结业证书。

3.拟开设两个班,每班25位参与人员,根据报名顺序,专任教师优先。

1.第一班

地点:广州校区南校园林护堂505

时间:20181114日至16日(周三至周五)

      上午:8:30-12:00  下午:13:30-16:00

2.第二班

地点:珠海校区教师发展中心C208

时间:20181119日至21日(周一至周三)

      上午:8:30-12:00  下午:13:30-16:00

After the three-day workshop, participants will be able to:

 

·         Recognise the stages of writing and the drafting processes to overcome fear and inertia when writing

·         Engage with others and provide interdependence with peers for more effective writing

·         Have time, space and techniques to develop their writing during the course

·         Understand the stages and processes of paper submission and peer review

·         Know how to write appropriately for all the sections of an academic paper

·         Use structure, argument and evidence to create credible academic text

·         Appreciate the importance of following journal rules and guidelines

·         Edit their own text to create flow for professional and elegant prose

  • Understand the ethics and legal issues of plagiarism and falsification and know how to reference other work without plagiarism

主讲人简介

 

Geraint Story

Geraint先生拥有坚实的行业及学术背景,目前专注于提供学术论文写作与发表、及学术类相关的培训课程。他在曼彻斯特大学获得生物学本科和硕士学位,继而在剑桥大学深造,获得博士学位,着力于解决植物盐胁迫性问题的生物技术研究(biotechnology solutions to the issue of plant salt stress)
